Steph and Mark's Wedding Video at Swallow Nest Barn | West Sussex Wedding Videographer

Tell us about where and when you first both first met and What were your first impressions of each other when you first met?

We were introduced to each other by a friend. I thought Steph was pretty and easy to talk to, very laid back. I thought Mark was funny and fit!

Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?

Mark proposed via a gorgeous video from our fur baby Ralph (dog ) We were in Iceland and we had been out all night hunting for the Northern Lights with my brother Rob and his partner April - Mark said he had a message from Ralphie and handed me a video and got down on one knee - I, obviously, burst into tears !

Give us three words each to describe each other and what they mean to you?

Bride: 1- Funny- Steph never fails to make me laugh. 2- Beautiful- I love Steph's face morning, noon and night 3- Friendly- Steph will talk to literally anyone, makes friends so easily and you just feel at ease around her

Groom: 1 - Funny - I have a permanent smile on my face when i am with Mark. 2 - Caring - Mark is genuinely one of the kindest people i have ever met, and the love he has for his own family, especially his nephews as well as the love he has for my family is one of the things i love most about him. 3 - Excitable - even though i moan about this one sometimes, i love Mark's enthusiasm and excitement for absolutely anything - you can vaguely suggest something boring like redecorating a bedroom and by the time you are home it is half done, you suggest a weekend away and within the hour you will have a list of options and dates, mention something more adventurous like jumping out of a plane and within the hour he will have booked it - i love it.

How did you find and choose your wedding venue, Swallows Nest Barn, Warwick?

We knew what kind of venue we wanted so searched online and went to see a couple we liked the look of and just fell in love with Swallows Nest, and the church in aSherbourne.

Tell us about your wedding dress; the designer, how long it took you to find the one featured in your wedding video by West Sussex Videographers, Ground Films?

Dress was from Wedding Belles in Four Oaks, the designer was Maggie Sottero (I think?!) and i went with my Mum to choose. We went to Wedding Belles and i had no clue what i wanted but knew what i didn't want so i sat in the changing room and let the lady choose some she thought would suit me and i actually liked all that she chose but this one was myfavourite!

No surprises from each other during the day but Mark surprised me in the morning with a poem he had written about all of our travels and some really special things we had done along with some gorgeous surprise gifts. My lovely friends also surprised me with gorgeous gifts that i will treasure and Mark's parents gave me his Grandma's engagement ring as we sat down to dinner - something again, i will treasure forever.

Did you have any readings and if so, why did you pick them?

Yes we had two - both that we found online and we just loved the wording in both of them, although Mark did write a few bits of the one my brother read to make it personal for us. There were so many people we wanted to involve in our wedding, and having some of the people we love doing a reading and being witnesses etc gave us a way to do that.

What was your favourite part of your wedding day at Swallows Nest Barn, Warwick?

Mark- loved all of it but mainly just having all of our friends and family together socialising and having a good time, mine was the speeches - i loved hearing what everyone was going to say!

Was there any funny moments that you will always remember?

The kids being truly disgusted at seeing us kissing, which made everyone laugh as we did the photos. MArk's Turkey picture making it's way around all of our families is another one that made us both laugh.

Why did you choose us, West Sussex Videographers, Ground Films to film your wedding and what did you think of your experience being filmed?

We just loved the style of all of the previous videos we saw. Didn’t notice being filmed, James and Ellie just blended in and were so relaxed and nice.

Any advice for future wedding couples thinking about having their special day filmed by us West Sussex Videographers, Ground Films?

Do it- hopefully you only get married once and I think it’s just a precious time to look back on. Everyone says it but the day really does just fly by and so hard to take it all in. We are excited to get our video so we can sit and open a bottle of champagne and enjoy any bits we missed
