We met at work I saw owen carrying a desk across a car park and was like oooh he looks nice I was too embarrassed to just ask him out for a drink so I suggested to his colleague that we have a works evening out…. Luckily owen obliged. My first impression of him was that he was handsome and very posh, his of me was that I was beautiful and lively
Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?
Owen proposed to me, we were in brighton for my birthday one Sunday and we walked past a jewellers and he suggested we go in and try on a few rings… which ended up in us finding the one. But he hadn’t asked my Dad for my hand yet, so I had to keep it quiet until Owen asked him, then he made me wait until we were on holiday in September!
How did you find and choose your wedding venue, Pelham House, Lewes?
Being a wedding photographer I’d worked at Pelham House a lot, so I knew we would love it and knew they we fantastic at running weddings. Lewes is also really local to us and our family and friends, we often head out to Lewes at the weekends so choosing a venue in a town that was important to us felt perfect.
Tell us about your wedding dress; the designer, how long it took you to find the one, featured in your wedding video at Pelham House?
I got my dress from Fross Wedding Collections, it’s a Justin Alexander gown. I loved all of the wedding dresses I tried on, I’m kind of obsessed with them. But I went for this dress because as soon as I put it on I felt like it had literally been made for me. I felt a million dollars, as cheesy as that sounds, I really did. Each time I had it on (prior to the wedding day) I didn’t want to take it off. The thing I loved most is that it hugged in all the right places, I wanted to WOW Owen… to look beautiful, stay true to my style and have a tiny bit of sexiness in there too!
Tell us about what the Groomsmen wore featured in your wedding video at Pelham House?
I wanted the Owen and his groomsmen in something that I don’t see week in week out being a wedding photographer, so asked them to wear Tuxedos
Did you have any readings featured in your wedding video at Pelham House and if so, why did you pick them?
Yes, one of my bridesmaids Celia wrote a short reading for the wedding and it was phenomenal. We wanted a reading that was personal to us, and she did an amazing job. When I’d met Owen I’d been widowed and so parts of the reading brushed upon how he saved me and showed me happiness again. This is my favourite part
