Olivia & Kieran first met when they were about 13, meeting through a mutual friend. They didn't like each other then, in fact they told us they hated each other, but as all true love stories work out, they ended up becoming the best of friends over the years. After losing contact for a while they eventually bumped into each other at Weston shore when they were 19 and they knew they were the ones for life. Kieran describes his new wife as organised, very honest and beautiful, whilst Olivia thinks Kieran as loving, handsome and hardworking. I would say they are the perfect qualities to match each other and are bound to bring them endless years of happiness.
Kieran proposed in Dubai on the 1st march 2017. The bubbly pair had gone for dinner at the marina, two glasses of Prosecco came to the table and the ring was in the bottom of one, after nearly drinking the whole drink without noticing Kieran had to tell Olivia to look in the glass, finally getting down on one knee and popping the question.
The couple married at the beautiful Skylark Golf & Country Club in Fareham, Hampshire on the 17th March 2018. They found the venue online and knew they wanted somewhere which had a barn to get married in and fell in love with it. As wedding videographers, we always look for venues that are stylish and have the ability to change to every couples needs and Skylark Golf & Country Club never fails at that, it’s beautiful barn provides the whimsical ceremony every bride wants, whilst the modern wedding venue overlooking one of the best golf courses in Hampshire is the most versatile space to eat, drink and party the night away.
Olivia looked radiant walking down the aisle in the wedding barn at Skylark Golf & Country Club, in her harper dress by Allure Bridals from A Bride 2 be, Warsash. Whilst Kieran and his groomsmen wore a navy suit from Astares in Havant with sky blue and burnt orange tie and an extra special pocket square in the McDonald tartan in remembrance of Olivia’s Nan and it didn’t stop there as the day was full of even more personal touches…
As wedding videographers in Hampshire, we especially love to film the exchanges of gifts especially when they put so much thought into them and this one was something else. Olivia had arranged a surprise vintage car to turn up outside their house where Kieran and his groomsmen were getting ready and they were overwhelmed with the delightful surprise, so glad we caught it on camera.
This wonderful Bride & Groom, thought about everything for their special day, including wooden name places for the guests so they could keep them as a reminder of their special day and a truly amazing idea of cutting slices off of Olivia's mum and dads trees in front of their house for the centre pieces. The table plan made by Olivia & Kieran was a large map sitting by the entrance by the reception room at Skylark Golf & Country Club, It featured and pin pointed of all their favourite places they had the pleasure to have been to and named their tables after. The last little touch that I found particularly touching was the two framed pictures of their nans, that they had sadly lost, adorned with flowers so they could be a part of their special day.
Olivia and Kieran told us that their favourite part of their day was their simple but sweet ceremony at the ceremony barns at Skylark Golf & Country Club, seeing so many friends and family sharing that special moment and I think that’s just the way it should be. They chose us to film their Hampshire wedding because they told us, that they were the only videos that made them cry (in a good way) and that they would advise any future brides to have a video as it’s something you will cherish forever.
