Tell us about where and when you first both first met and What were your first impressions of each other when you first met?

We met on Tinder in 2014 and chatted for a week or so through the app. Our first meeting was in Clapham (SW London) - we'd planned to go to a local pub and have a few drinks. Mels first impression was that I was late (very late), but made up for it by being easy going, having great conversation and seemed to be different from other guys. Very honest, no games and wearing his heart on his sleeve. Max remembers Mel's smile, it stood out of her face and lit up the evening. She laughed easily and let me do a lot of the talking...

Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?

Chatsworth House - Max proposed to Mel. It was challenging because I wanted to do it outside but hadn't made great plans (it was raining). We got through it and Max only cried a little bit....

Give us three words each to describe each other and what they mean to you?

Mel on Max: Generosity, love & fun - Max is everything in my life

Max on Mel: Heart, Passion, Laughter - Mel means so much, she shows me a future of happiness, love and light

How did you find and choose your wedding venue, Brympton House, staring in your wedding video in Somerset.

We looked online for an old venue wihich could sit 150+ for service and dinner. We wanted it within 3 hours of London. This narrowed it down. We'd looked at 5-6 venues and didn't connect with the places. We saw Brympton on a bit of a whim coming back from Bristol and fell in love with it!

Tell us about your wedding dress featured on your wedding video at Brympton House ; the designer, how long it took you to find the one?

I was on a work trip to San Francisco and spontaneously decided to use a spare afternoon to do some wedding dress shopping shortly after we got engaged. I went to a fantastic store called Marina Morrison Bridal and had a great experience with my step mother, we had the store to ourselves and towards the end after not being very successful the attendant pulled out my dress as a ‘wildcard’ and after initial skepticism I tried it on and instantly fell in love. After contemplating it for the day we went back and purchased the dress and I flew it home with me on the plane!

Tell us about what the Groomsmen wore in your Brympton House Wedding Video?

Navy Dinner Jackets + eveningwear- black bow tie, navy suspenders

Was there any surprises? Tell us more..

Mel got me a Jaguar E type (my favourite car) - not to keep sadly...I surprised her with some letters, monogrammed glasses and a diamond necklace
