Tell us about where and when you first both first met and What were your first impressions of each other when you first met?
We had known each other since teenage years previously through friends but hadn't seen each other for years, when we saw each other for the first time in May 2012 in James's local at the time, The Kings Head pub, Enfield. we both looked at each other and instantly fell for one another, we have been inseparable ever since!
Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?
I surprised Alexis with a delivery of a bouquet of red roses two days after Christmas of 2016 with the words 'Start Packing' written on a card, I then drove us to the airport and presented her with a travellers guide to Rome, we spent 5 nights in Rome and I proposed on the night of the 30th at the Mirabelle Restaurant over looking the roof tops of Rome, we then spent New Years Eve celebrating on the streets of Rome at the Coliseum
Give us three words each to describe each other and what they mean to you?
Bride: Beautiful- Alexis is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on, her natural beauty is something that makes my heart melt on a daily bases! Caring- She has a way of caring for everyone around her and people know it. Funny- her laugh, smile and presence lights any room she graces
Groom: Handsome - James's smile is infectious, his eyes so blue, warm and full of love and makes me feel special everyday by just looking at me. Hardworking - I've never known anyone to work as hard as James, he's never had a sick day and what he's built in his business is an absolute credit to all the hardwork he's put in over the last 7 years, I'm so proud of everything he's achieved and know our son's have an incredible Father to look up to. Fun - My best days and nights are spent with James, we have the most amazing amount of fun no matter where we are or who we're with, I just couldn't ask for a better companion. I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with him enjoying every single day together.
How did you find and choose your wedding venue, St Michaels Manor Hotel, St Albans?
We researched wedding venues that served amazing food (we LOVE good food) and found St Michaels Manor Hotel, when we visited the venue we instantly knew that this was the venue we wanted to get married at, the grand stature and beauty of the venue blew us away
Tell us about your wedding dress; the designer, how long it took you to find the one featured in your wedding video by West Sussex wedding Videographers, Ground Films?
It was a few days before Christmas 2017 and my bridesmaids, my mum and I started of with the first Bridal salon. I had an idea of the style before looking. Sadly every dress I tried on was so far from the idea of what I had in mind. We set of for the next shop, Amorae Bridal in Ongar, Essex. Upon arrival I spotted the Mori Lee Milly dress and insisted I tried it on before I looked at anything else, I instantly fell in love. Amorae is run by EmmaLee and Janice and they were nothing short than incredible, the service they offered was wonderful and I looked forward to and enjoyed every visit to them over the year that led up to our wedding.

An amazing memories book Was made for Alexis by one of her bridesmaids Maria, this was given to her at the venue the night before the wedding full of pictures and messages from friends and family, also a letter from James

Walking down the aisle, walking the grounds as newly weds, partying with all our friends and family
Was there any funny moments that you will always remember?
James smashed the glass when raising the toast to start the speeches, the first dance when everyone joined on the dance floor
Why did you choose us, West Sussex wedding Videographers, Ground Films, to film your wedding and what did you think of your experience being filmed?
We found Ground Films on Hitched, your films are very emotive, Alexis cried at everyone of them, your work and the way you portray a couple in love suited both our personalities and felt that you do the best job for us. Ground Films made the whole experience so fun and special, we actually said after how much we missed you, you were such a lovely part of our day and encouraged us to be the best version of ourselves.
Any advice for future wedding couples thinking about having their special day filmed by West Sussex wedding Videographers, Ground Films?
Would definitely recommend on having your special day filmed, it adds a different dimension to your day knowing that you will not miss anything and get to relive the day over and over again
