Sinead & Harriet, met at Millais all girls school in year 9, where Harriet was moved to Sinead’s form for being naughty and having an “argument” with a now good friend,Lizzie.
“We were in completely different classes or the other side of the school, so doubt we would have even spoken, had it not been for that argument. So we Blame/thank Lizzie!”
In school, Sinead was a bit scared of her now wife, as Harriet had a bit of a name for herself, for being a tom boy, to no surprise really, when living with her dad and four brothers, but in the end it all worked in Sinead’s favour as Harriet scared off all the bullies and became her guardian angel.
Harriet said she always knew she would be friends with Sinead the first day she walked into the classroom.
Sinead describes Harriet as caring, selfless and passionate “I don’t know what I do that makes her want to treat me so amazingly, she will put me first every time, takes care of me in every way, she just understands me. I will just spend my life trying to make her feel as good as she make me feel.”
Whilst Harriet, describes her new wife as: “Funny; you always make me laugh and smile, Caring; you are so caring and look after me in so many ways. Loving; you make me feel loved so much”

On February 2016 their lives were changed when Harriet proposed at the top of the shard. She was in tears and blames her fear of heights.
“Time to leave and Sinead wondered if it wasn’t going to happen...
Time to keep dreaming of that dress, made of white satin.
But Harriet was secretly battling a broken coat zip.
And with a fear of heights her stomach started to flip.
Sinead spotted St Pauls, Big Ben and The Gherkin
As Harriet began to regret her lunch and the second serving.
The ring was free and Harriet decided against bended knee.
But we won’t mention that awful dislocation on this occasion.
Finally she asked the question, with tears and loving expression.
Of course the answer was yes, Sinead knew she had he best.
She mirrored Harriet’s emotion, as the tourist around them pondered the commotion.
800ft high.. They weren’t just on cloud 9.. they were above.
She had a ring on her finger and they were in love.”
Sinead planned the whole wedding – but Harriet won’t accept this because she found the venue, The grand Mercure Hotel at Brighton Seafront. Sinead imaged herself walking down the long staircase draped in flowers. To Harriet’s horror! But once she imagined it – she had to have it!
“We were looking online and loved the late night snacks and the 24hr bar swayed us!”
The beautiful Brighton Wedding video was adorned with flowers lots of lovely embellishments, which was just fitting with the `Beautiful Sinead wearing a Mori Lee Wedding Dress called Maxine, Whilst Harriet chose her suits at the very last minute much to Sinead’s, disapproval.

What was the favourite Parts of your Wedding Day? – Wedding Video at Brighton Seafront
“It was trans pride in Brighton and we knew there was a march starting down the road at the same time as the ceremony. People thought we had planned it, as when we came out from the ceremony the traffic had been stopped and hundred of people were walking in their bright colours along the seafront. They were all lovely clapping and whistling and of course we jumped in with them and took some photos, it was amazing”
Later we had a surprise ride on the British Airways i360 Brighton – I think guests were puzzled why it was such a wait until the food. But once they knew why it went down really well!
We had the singing waiters after dinner which got everyone in the mood – although the evening guest started pouring into the meal as it was such a rave they thought it had all started already!
We did the congo around all the tables and outside.. Sinead had the littles ones holding onto the back of her dress as we all sang along to 500 miles.
Finally we did a surprise wedding dance – starting with Whitney and moving through about 10 different songs. What a workout!
The dancing wasn’t up to much.. after all the other excitement of the day and getting through the speeches we just went for it and didn’t care.
We did a quick rehearsal beforehand and were ending up in different directions/ different times.. but the crowd really made it – every time a song changed they all screamed and it was so much fun.
I couldn’t breath and was a sweaty mess to greet the evening guests.. but everyone loved it.
“Marriage is about giving and taking
And forging and forsaking
Kissing and loving and pushing and shoving
Caring and sharing and screaming and swearing
About being together whatever the weather
About being driven to the end of your tether
About sweetness and kindness
And wisdom and blindness
It's about being strong when you're feeling quite weak
It's about saying nothing when you're dying to speak
It's about being wrong when you know you are right
It's about giving in, before there's a fight
It's about you two living as cheaply as one (you can give us a call if you know how that's done!
Never heeding advice that was always well meant
Never counting the cost until it's all spent
And for you two today it's about to begin
And for all that the two of you had to put in
Some days filled with joy, and some days with sadness
Too late you'll discover that marriage is madness.”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Sinead – So Hard, I loved every second, probably going on the i360 – but from getting ready, the speeches, the dancing, it was perfect!
& The next day – so many people saying the best wedding they have ever been to – you can’t get better praise than that, and it’s a big pat on the back after 2 years planning.
Was there any funny moments that you will always remember?
Sinead begged and begged Simon the best man to say a joke in his speech.. he wasn’t up for it.. but Len went first and said the exact joke!
Seeing everyone on the i360 when it was still a surprise I spoke to people about heights/ the London eye/ etc – so many people went on after saying they would never go on it.. it’s a wedding and they had to! The planning was also funny as Sinead called herself a bridezilla to bypass the fact she was about to be demanding! The florist stated in every email – Hello Flowerzilla, and one said …. “Dear Princess Diva Unicorn Rainbow and Harriet,”So so pleased with every supplier we picked. They were perfect.
The first dance – when the song cut out for the second time, people thought Harriet was going to punch the DJ – until we started “everyday I’m shuffling….”
2 people said they were filming the slow dance and when the music was cutting out they ended the video ad didn’t want a disaster on film! Hilarious!
Going into the Trans parade
The speeches – Dad kept saying.. I don’t want to make a big deal of this “GAY” thing.
