Ground Films captured Amy and Tom getting married at the impressive West Sussex located Goodwood House in November 2021. The drone shots throughout Amy and Toms wedding film show the morning was crisp with bright blue skies and the gorgeous autumnal colours of the changing trees engulfed the Goodwood Estate. Although Amy and Tom weren’t originally getting married at Goodwood House it ended up being the perfect venue to celebrate their day as Amy loved the idea of a big country house wedding and Tom, having a passion for cars and planes loved Goodwood and attended the various motor festivals held on the estate throughout his life.
Amy and Tom met in 2018 when Amy’s sister (who worked with Tom) set the pair up on a blind date. From casual drinks in Covent Garden that led to dinner and then eventually being kicked out of the restaurant at closing time, Amy and Tom hit it off right away. Since then, they have shared many travel adventures together including visiting: Paris, Mexico, Thailand, Barbados and most importantly Portugal were Tom proposed to Amy on what she thought was just a weekend away. Tom having a pilot’s license has also taken Amy up in the air throughout their relationship – what a date!!
Amy was calm and collected on the morning of her wedding, as wedding videographers we captured her getting ready with her mum and then later her bridesmaids. Amy had the wonderful assistance of one of her friends and bridesmaids’ boyfriends, Chris, who was constantly fetching things, steaming dresses, getting drinks, and generally doing everything and anything for anyone during the morning preparations – as wedding videographers we think every bride needs a Chris at their wedding! Amy wore an incredible lace dress that was beautifully finished with a stunning silk belt that tied into a gorgeous bow. Amy’s hair was beautifully crafted into a curled updo which incorporated a soft plait that perfectly framed her face. Her makeup was glowy, fresh and glamorous – she looked incredible from head to toe.
Before the ceremony Tom was excited and chilled as he enjoyed a drink with his guests in the bar at the Goodwood hotel before heading to Goodwood house on the buggies with all his groomsmen. As you can see in their wedding film above, the boys very much enjoyed riding these and there was a fair few near misses.
Tom and Amy’s guests were collected by a vintage bus and taken to the grand Goodwood House where they were seated for the ceremony in the impressive drawing room. Soon after Amy arrived in a gorgeous white vintage Rolls Royce and prepared to walk down the aisle with her very proud father. The doors of the drawing room opened and flooded the room with light as Amy walked in. The ceremony was beautiful and included: two beautiful readings, (one performed by Amy’s sister), a stunning guitar accompaniment and a wine ceremony all of which Ground Films captured. As wedding videographers, we rarely get to see a wine ceremony, so this was a really unique touch to the day. It was also very special as Amy’s grandfather had personally hand crafted the box to hold the wine and the letters the couple wrote to each other to be opened in 10 years’ time.
The couple enjoyed the last hour of the winter sun with their friends and family enjoying bubbles and capturing some stunning couple shots in the epic grounds of Goodwood Estate before they were seated for speeches lovingly performed by Amy’s father, Tom and Toms best man. The speeches were full of beautiful sentiments and memories all of which you can hear throughout the couples wedding film above.
After enjoying the most incredible dinner together the wedding party gathered to watch, and Ground Films captured the newlyweds perform the old-time tradition of cutting the cake before making their way to the dance floor to get the party started.
It was like Amy and Tom were the only people in the room during their first dance – they just stayed in each other’s company and really enjoyed such a special moment together. After this the party started! The photobooth came out and ties were taken off – it was time to really enjoy the party they had so desperately had been waiting for! The epic day finished with the couple exiting in the vintage bus through a tunnel of fireworks – they definitely made an incredible impression and set the wedding bar very very high!
Ground Films loved being a part of Amy and Toms beautiful day and cannot wait to follow them in their married life together.
