From meeting as teachers at a school to regular cliff pizza parties on the Isle of Wight, Anastasia and Henry have already created a mountain of unbelievable memories together, but on the 4th of September they vowed to continue this mad adventure together for the rest of their lives.
Anastasia and Henry had planned a stunning celebration for not just one day but a whole weekends worth of events at East Afton Farmhouse on the Isle of Wight. From drunk parties to tepees the couple spared every moment to create beautiful memories with their nearest and dearest. Ground Films was so blessed to be able to capture their beautiful, blue skied wedding day in this very idyllic setting.
The Isle of Wight meant so much to Ana and Henry. They have spent plenty of weekends there enjoying the beaches, cycling the country roads, and eating pizzas overlooking the most impressive views, so it was destined that they got married on the island as well. As Wedding Videographers, we love capturing the morning where Ana and her bridesmaids were getting ready, sharing laughter and stories. Ana got ready into the most stunning off the shoulder A Line dress with feathered beading embellishment. Her hair in a beautiful updo with soft curls that framed her face and elegant makeup that enhanced her blue eyes. As wedding videographers, we love to capture the dad’s reaction to seeing his stunning daughter and Anastasia’s dad even came with a beautiful keepsake – a Tiffany bracelet.
Ana who expertly designed, decorated, and planned her wedding day had created the most perfect indoor/outdoor ceremony for this hot September Saturday. As their guests waited patiently a very emotional Henry waited at the end of the aisle for the love of his life. Anas best friends and sister in their gorgeous burnt orange dresses walked one by one from the stunning Farmhouse to the ceremony leaving just the right amount of suspense before the bride arrived. We (Ground Films) were able to capture Henry’s reaction when Anastasia walked down the aisle and it was just perfection – full of emotion and overcome with happiness.
After some touching readings from some of their closest friends Ana and Henry sealed the deal and were married! They celebrated on the front lawn, surrounded by their friends and family who were playing with the abundance of garden games Ana and Henry had supplied and enjoying the ambient acoustic music. As everyone went in for the wedding breakfast, we stole some shots of the couple in the striking fields as well as the pristine grounds of East Afton Farmhouse. We then were lucky to take the Anastasia and Henry to the cliffs just down the road where they have previously enjoyed pizza. As you can see from their wedding film above, it was stunning, with the low September sun and the boats below enjoying the last of the summer weather. Here we, (Ground Films), were able to capture some of the most epic shots of the couple and we were just thrilled to capture them at a place they love so dearly!
Anastasia had lovingly and beautifully sourced materials and decorated the newly renovated barn with the most incredible eye for detail. The brass colour scheme was perfectly complimented by muted pinks and bursts of greenery. After seeing lots of weddings we were just so in awe of how she had pieced the day together so flawlessly without having worked at weddings previously – we think she will be an excellent wedding planner and can’t wait to follow her journey.
After Bangers and Mash the speeches started. Throughout the wedding film you can hear the stories recounted and the loving words spoken about the pair by Anastasia’s dad, Henry and his two best men! These speeches were interrupted abruptly by a waiter falling over with a bucket… they were singing waiters! From conger lines to singing competitions the next 20 minutes was pure fantastic madness – it was the perfect way to get the partied started! As the evening progressed, we, as wedding videographers captured the most impressive weighty homemade wedding cake being cut. The pair had utilised the outdoor/indoor ceremony space and created a dance floor that no one had the issue of getting too hot on – it was the most perfect solution for a hot September wedding. From fancy dress, to sparklers, to pizza, the night continued until the early hours when we are sure everyone crashed with heavy heads, full bellies, sore throats from singing and happy memories!
