Emily & Ian's Wedding Film at Southend Barns

“3390 days… the number of days since we first met”

On one alcohol fuelled night Emily with her encouraging best friends by her side set up a profile on Match.com. Meanwhile not too far away Ian’s brother was secretly setting his brother up on Match.com whilst Ian was enjoying a haircut. After saying he wouldn’t use the app even though Ians brother had brought the full subscription, Ian secretly had a look. At first Ian was ignored after ‘winking’ at Emily on the site because Emily was concerned that he was younger than her but after some consideration she finally caved and the pair started talking. 3390 days later here they are at their wedding day.

Emily who loves the beach decided to get ready in West Wittering, where the air is calm, and she feels at peace. She was surrounded by her fun-loving friends, her brother and his girlfriend, and her mum and stepdad whilst she got ready at a beautiful beach themed Air B and B. Emily’s hair was beautifully crafted into a half up half down braid, which was embellished by stunning silver hair beads. Her soft glam makeup perfectly complimented her eye watering A Line dress, with a stunning sparkly lace bodice. Ground Films, West Sussex wedding videographers made sure to capture the whole day. Emily left the Air B and B with her girlfriends and was driven to Southend Barns by her stepdad in his incredible refurbished Land Rover, with personalised Emily and Ian number plate. We could hear their laughter from a mile down the road.

Wedding Videographers captured Emily making the final touches before walking down the intimate aisle at Southend Barns towards her soon to be husband. Meanwhile Ian was getting ready after a morning of ensuring everything was just perfect for their big day. Ian wore a dark blue suit with brown buttons, a light grey waistcoat and a vintage floral blue and white tie with matching pocket square, he looked very dapper in deed.

After having a very emotional reveal with her dad, step dad and brother Emily was ready to embark on this next chapter that she had so desperately been waiting for for 9 years. Emily walked proudly down the aisle towards Ian as he took a large exhale thinking wow! Ground Films captured it all. The ceremony was beautiful, with a reading by grandma and the newlyweds not hesitating for a second to kiss one another.

Everyone went outside to enjoy the early summer sun, a celebratory drink and to play the games that Emily and Ian had prepared. Emily and Ian managed to capture beautiful shots with their nearest and dearest, whilst Ground Films captured the beautiful decorations in the wedding reception. Emily had truly injected her personality into the room with: balloons, lights, photos, an abundance of handmade decorations including the incredible and very professional signs her, and Ian stayed up through the night to create the week of their wedding. We cannot forget that Emily made her own wedding cake, and it was not only stunning but it was incredibly yummy too!

It was then time for Emily and Ian to be welcomed into their wedding breakfast, where they were going to be entertained by speeches that were loving, funny and epically story-telling. All of which Ground Films, wedding videographers captured and can be heard throughout their wedding film above.

After an incredible 3 course meal the couple spent time catching up with guests before taking to the dance floor that was backdropped by the most impressive ceiling of fairy lights making it look truly magical.

Ground Films just adored watching Emily and Ian dancing the night way together to the epic saxophonist! The newlyweds were in their element and were soaking up all this electric energy around them. We are incredibly thankful to have captured their day and we want to say thank you to all suppliers involved:
