Felicity and John got married on the 27th of August 2021 in the countryside of Sussex in the grand and luxurious Goodwood estate. After 12 years of love, friendship, and endless shared experiences Felicity and John finally sealed the deal with their gorgeous miniature dachshund, Hugo, by their side, and we (Ground Films) were lucky enough to capture it all.
As West Sussex wedding videographers we started the day at the impeccable Goodwood Hotel where Felicity got ready on the morning of her wedding. The sound of aeroplanes above, her gorgeous friends by her side and a fair few bottles of Veuve Clicquot open, Felicity made the final preparations before walking down the grand aisle at Goodwood House, just moments away.
With clear blue skies, the glorious sunshine and the rumble of luxury cars, Goodwood House was the perfect backdrop for this couple’s wedding day. Having a passion for cars, Goodwood couldn’t have been a more apt location to commit their lives to each other. They had already created lots of memories here throughout their 12-year relationship and what could be a better memory to add to the pot than getting married here too. Felicity and John being massive car fans were blessed with having the most incredible luxury cars surround them on their day, loaned to them by their loving friend (they make a frequent appearance in their Wedding Film above). Everything about their day was truly personal and unique to the couple, which as Award Winning Videographers we love to capture and see.
Speaking of unique, this couple have a strong love for Veuve Clicquot, so much so John’s suit lining was even colour matched to the bottles. Being their favourite alcoholic drink, it featured heavily throughout the day, even the cake was designed as a champagne bucket with Veuve Clicquot bottles cascading out of it.
Felicity walked arm in arm with her dad down the aisle to greet the love of her life John. The look of pure joy and happiness on John’s face as Felicity entered the most gorgeous grand room at Goodwood House. After many happy tears shared throughout the ceremony, and their pooch, Hugo delivering the rings down the aisle, Felicity and John were officially married.
As wedding videographers, we love to capture the moment were couples walk out to be greeted by all their guests. Felicity and John were showered in confetti as they walked out of the grand central doors of Goodwood House and through the friends and family who lined the impressive driveway. As newly Mr and Mrs they mingled with their guests, drinking, and basking in the sun. There was a sea of brightly coloured sunglasses as they had anticipated the beautiful day and got their bridal party matching shades, another lovely unique touch Felicity had implemented.
Felicity took decorations to the next level with the reception room looking spectacular - it looked like set from a blockbuster film. The tables were laden with endless flowers in the most beautiful shades of pink and yellow, which danced in the candlelight of hundreds of candles that were intertwined throughout the room. It became the most romantic setting for truly beautiful speeches performed by the new Mr and Mrs Stotter-Marden, and their friends and family.
To finish the night the couple perfectly executed their choreographed first dance, which John had expressed his concerns about previously but after seeing it we all think he was just bluffing. A massive cake made from cheese and the biggest pork pie you ever did see came out a long with a continuous platter of incredible food. Everyone danced the night away knowing that the celebrations would continue the following day watching the races organised by their hugely generous and excellent hosts Felicity and John.
Felicity’s and Johns weekend celebrations were just perfect and we felt privileged to have been there to capture it.
