True love is promising to be the one to discard of any spiders that creep their way into your home and this is what Alex vowed to always do for Leanne.
Leanne and Alex had a fairy-tale winter wedding at the incredible Dewsall Court in the beautiful Hereford countryside on the 18th of December 2021. Leanne and Alex actually went on their first ever date a week before Christmas so this time of year holds lots of memories for them and they knew that they wanted to have a winter wedding!
The grand house was inviting with a warm fire and freshly baked goodies for breakfast!
Ground Films captured Leanne getting ready in the amazing bridal suite at Dewsall Court with her mum and bridesmaids. Having already had a smaller wedding here the year previous Leanne was relaxed as she knew exactly how the day would go. Leanne wore her stunning mermaid lace dress that had beautiful off the shoulder straps and an incredible train. Her hair perfectly complimented her stunning dress, in a relaxed up-do with some gorgeous incorporated braids and was finished with some stunning florals. During the preparations Ground Films, wedding videographers love to film the brides’ details including the shoes, rings, necklaces etc as these will always have a huge sentiment for the couples throughout their marriage. Leanne's details were just incredible! She had the most incredible dark navy @manoloblahnik shoes which you can see throughout the wedding film above.
As Leanne and Alex had officially got married the year prior, they were able to have a super personal and unique ceremony hosted by Leanne's brother and accompanied with mulled wine! Design being a big part of Leanne's job she had planned everything so meticulously and had created a winter wonderland, which as wedding videographers we loved capturing. The Wainhouse Barn looked spectacular with hanging garlands, suspending candles, draped fairy lights and a jaw dropping floral display at the top of the aisle. Leanne's brother spoke loving words about the couple and added his own personal flare to the ceremony, Leanne and Alex’s friend, Jamie, delivered a beautiful reading from Les Mis and the couple declared their heart jerking vows to each other. They exited the barn and made their way with all their friends and family to the front of the house for the showering of confetti.
During the drinks reception as more mulled wine and champagne was handed around wedding videographers, Ground Films were able to capture some of the most beautiful shots of the couple in the enchanting and pristine grounds of Dewsall Court. Alex wore a three-piece sand coloured suit which perfectly complimented the beautiful nude shades in the abundant flowers, and Leanne placed the most stunning faux fur jacket over her dress as the winter light dropped and the air got a bit chillier.
Soon the sun disappeared completely, which made the barn look even more incredible with all its fairy lights bouncing off the wall of windows. As you can see throughout Ground Films wedding film above there were: hundreds of candles lining the trestle tables, there was a cupcake table framed with a Christmas tree and miniature sledges, and there was beautifully hand-crafted stationary that welcomed all the couples’ guests in. Snuggled in around trees the barn looked like a winter grotto which continued outside with a fire pit adorned with numerous blankets and all the ingredients to make s’mores.
After a wonderfully hearty dinner the barn was full with the sound of sociable laughing guests, but it was now time to kick of the speeches by Alex and Leanne pouring a champagne tower! The mic was then passed over to Leanne's Dad, Alex and the best man Smeth. Smeth did not disappoint and got everyone on their feet within the first couple of seconds to start the party as you can see from the couples wedding film above. After this Leanne and Alex created a dramatic entrance for their first dance – entering through the two barn doors to reveal the glitterball dance floor. They shared a special moment here together with their friends and family onlooking and they then proceeded to stay on the dance floor for the majority of the night!
Thank you, Alex and Leanne, for a beautiful day filled with a lot of ‘wows’ from us at Ground Films, we wish you all the love for your future together.
