“The fact you look like a supermodel definitely doesn’t hurt…” - Jim Dillon
This Harry Potter obsessed couple got married at the stunning Caswell house in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside on the 9th of September 2022. Their journey started when a mutual friend, Rachel, introduced them at a birthday party in 2017. After Jim’s initial plan for a proposal in Japan under the cherry blossom was halted due to covid, he resorted to plan B a beautiful walk in the Cotswolds, Mel with a twisted ankle and Jim wanting an intimate setting so making the pair climb the hill twice so less people were around – all of which you can hear throughout their wedding film produced by wedding videographers Ground Films.
West Sussex wedding videographers, Ground Films captured Mel getting ready surrounded by her mum and sisters, during the crisp morning at Caswell House, whilst Jim and his friends set up the lawn games and had a quick game of crochet. Mel had the incredible Bo from Botias Bridal get her ready for her big day. Mel had effortless Hollywood curls and soft glam makeup which perfectly complimented her spectacular align dress with deep v neckline and striking slit up the leg, she paired the look with some incredible sparkly Jimmy Choos, and timeless pearl drop earrings.
West Sussex wedding videographers Ground Films captured the stunning ceremony, held in the picturesque Cotswold brick clad barn at Caswell House, which was adorned by rows of overhead fairy lights and an aisle lined with incredible white and green floral arrangements. Mel after keeping Jim waiting patiently for just the right amount of time made her glamorous entrance after following her sisters dressed in satin muted green dresses down the aisle. Mel walked arm in arm with her mum towards Jim with the biggest smile on her face accompanied by the goose bump provoking sounds of the string quartet. Award Winning Wedding Videographers, Ground Films captured two of Mel and Jim’s closest friends perform readings throughout their ceremony, of which you can hear throughout their wedding film above.
After sealing the deal with a kiss, the couple made their way outside to celebrate with their very cool and trendy friends and family with a glass of bubbly in their hands. The soft September light was beautiful and West Sussex wedding videographers, Ground Films made sure to capture some couple shots of Mel and Jim in the beautiful expansive grounds at Caswell House whilst the sun was out.
The pair then sat down to their wedding breakfast and speeches performed by Jim, Jim’s best man and Mels sister. You can hear them recount stories about the pair throughout Mel and Jim’s wedding video at Caswell House above. Mel who works in events hadn’t missed a design element - Caswell House looked even more beautiful with the soft green touches, and sharp white florals that made centre pieces on the tables – it looked effortlessly stunning.
The night ended with an incredible pink sky, a prop extravagant photo booth, and a lot of dancing.
