“You are kind, compassionate, warm, fun, generous, always positive, and you have a faithfulness and love for the lord which for me comes first and foremost. So, thank you my darling. I love you” – Pat Allerton.
Pat and Kirsty, a relationship authentically grown from their faith in the Lord, blossoming into love and forever companionship. Wedding Videographers (Ground Films) were delighted to film and be a part of such a joyous and vibrant day where Kirsty and Pat sealed their love with their friends, family and the lord.
Being in a relationship, getting engaged and planning a wedding during the pandemic, their love has endured and strengthened throughout this extremely challenging time. Watching movies through facetime, long daily allowance walks, and dinners at two metres distance, this couple have really taken it all in their stride and in the process made their love and devotion to each other go from strength to strength. Pat had always known where he would propose, being the heath near Kirsty’s family home where they would often walk together, this would now hold even more pertinence as the place he promised his forever devotion to Kirsty.
Kirsty was surrounded by sister, best friend and parents as she got ready in her beautiful family home, in the picturesque Yateley, Hampshire. Reunited with her sister who had come from Berlin, it felt relaxed, and calm as bridal preparations were underway.
Kirsty and Pat had the most stunning church next to his sister’s house in the countryside of Longparish. The church was decorated head to toe in beautiful meadow flowers that lined the aisle and cascaded down the church’s historical pillars. Kirsty and Pat’s marriage was orchestrated by many of their lifelong friends who read their favourite passages from the bible, gave accounts of the couple’s time together and provided advice as the couple embark on their married life together, one of them being Nick who led the service and had been a massive part of Pat’s life. Pat and Kirsty both love music and they were joined by their friends who sang joyous and uplifting songs about faith and the lord throughout the service including “Amazing Grace” and “Ukuthula” which both held special places in their hearts. As Award Winning Wedding Videographers, we loved capturing such a passionate, energetic celebration which even included a dance that Pat and Kirsty performed throughout the aisles of the church, it truly showcased their love and happiness.
Unfortunately, some of Kirsty’s family in South Africa were unable to make it however with them all watching on live stream and their well wishes, support, and recounts of stories the couple received from them it felt like they were all here in spirit joining in with the celebrations.
As the day unfolded the couple and their family and friends moved from the church into the ‘portable priests’ sisters gorgeously sculpted garden which had also been decorated with an abundance of stunningly organic flowers. The sun was shining, and the incredible Royal Academy Jazz Band acted as the perfect accompaniment to the celebrations. As West Sussex Wedding Videographers we love hearing about the couple through the stories that are uncovered through speeches, and Kirsty and Pat definitely had plenty of them which you can hear in their Wedding Film.
Kirsty in her beautiful lace, chiffon dress that perfectly dropped from her shoulders and softly cascaded to the floor and Pat in his three-piece suit with accents of blue and pink to perfectly compliment the abundance of flowers couldn’t wait kick start the party with their first dance in the soft sunlight. Ground Films were ecstatic to see a spectacular appearance of a rainbow which created the most unique and special setting. This spontaneity made their first dance truly one of a kind and perfectly intimate. They were soon joined by their loving friends and family and the party continued with authentic joy.
It was such a pleasure for us (Ground Films) to film such an energetic, joyous, passionate celebration of the beautiful couple and their love for God. We wish them a lifetime of happiness.
