A Magical Ravenswood Wedding for Warren and Rhiannon

Some weddings have a feeling from the very start, and Warren and Rhiannon’s day at The Ravenswood had that lovely mix of nerves, laughter, family, and proper party energy.

They got married on Thursday 1st October 2026, and it was one of those days where every part felt personal. Not polished in a forced way. Just genuine, full of little moments that said a lot about them and the people around them.

From homemade cake decorating to emotional gifts, funny vows, brilliant speeches, and a shot trolley on the dance floor, this Ravenswood wedding had so much heart.

A calm morning at The Ravenswood

The day started on site, which always makes a wedding morning feel a little more relaxed. Warren got ready with his groomsmen in the cottage at The Ravenswood, surrounded by the usual mix of buttonholes, suits, jokes, and that quiet build-up before the ceremony.

There’s something brilliant about the groom prep part of a wedding day. It can look calm from the outside, but there’s always that little buzz underneath. Everyone knows the day is about to properly begin.

While Warren was getting ready, Rhiannon was with her girls being pampered. Hair, make-up, dresses, happy nerves, and all the little finishing touches that make the morning feel special.

One of my favourite moments was Rhiannon sneaking down to the reception room to decorate the cake she’d made herself. That says so much about her. Even on the morning of her wedding, she wanted to add that personal touch.

And honestly, what a touch it was.

A wedding cake already holds a special place in the day, but when it’s made by the bride, it becomes something else completely. It’s not just part of the decor. It’s part of the story.

The outdoor ceremony looked beautiful

The ceremony area outside at The Ravenswood looked beautiful. It had that peaceful, tucked-away feel that works so well for outdoor weddings. Guests arrived, found their seats, and slowly the space filled with that lovely pre-ceremony chatter.

Then came one of the most emotional moments of the whole day.

While Warren was waiting for Rhiannon at the top of the aisle, he received a surprise audio message from his kids. It was such a thoughtful moment, and you could see how much it meant to him straight away.

There are some parts of a wedding day that hit everyone at once. This was one of them.

It wasn’t about anything grand or overplanned. It was just a dad hearing the voices of his children before marrying the person he loves. Simple, emotional, and completely unforgettable.

Then Rhiannon arrived with her dad.

Their walk down the aisle was perfect. Not rushed, not stiff, just full of emotion. Warren’s face said everything, and Rhiannon looked incredible. These are the moments a wedding videographer always looks for, because they pass so quickly, but they carry so much feeling.

A ceremony full of family, laughter, and real emotion

The ceremony itself had such a warm family feel.

Warren’s son gave a beautiful reading, which added another really personal layer to the day. Weddings are often about two people getting married, of course, but they’re also about families coming together. This ceremony showed that in the best way.

Then came the vows.

Warren and Rhiannon’s personal vows were the perfect mix of emotional and funny. That balance isn’t always easy to get right, but theirs felt so natural. There were heartfelt words, a few laughs, and plenty of happy tears.

Personal vows work best when they sound like the couple. Warren and Rhiannon’s did exactly that. They weren’t trying to be overly formal or say what anyone else expected. They spoke to each other in their own way, and that made the whole ceremony feel even more intimate.

After the ceremony, the confetti moment brought everyone together again. Guests lined up, the smiles got bigger, and Warren and Rhiannon walked through the middle of it all as newlyweds.

Confetti always has that instant celebration feel. One minute everyone is emotional from the ceremony, and the next there’s laughter, cheering, and confetti everywhere. It’s such a good shift in energy.

Drinks, hugs, and that just-married feeling

After the confetti, it was time for the drinks reception.

This part of the day had such a lovely atmosphere. Everyone had a chance to congratulate Warren and Rhiannon, catch up, grab a drink, and properly soak up the fact that the ceremony had just happened.

The drinks reception is often when the day starts to loosen up. The nerves are gone, the formal part is done, and everyone settles into celebration mode.

There were hugs, laughs, group chats, and those little in-between moments that make a wedding film feel alive. Guests chatting in the background, the couple stealing little looks at each other, family members still wiping away tears from the ceremony.

Those moments matter just as much as the big ones.

A brilliant wedding breakfast entrance and speeches

The toastmaster introduced Warren and Rhiannon into the wedding breakfast, and it gave the room a proper lift. Everyone was ready for them, and the atmosphere was brilliant as they made their entrance.

Then came the speeches, and they were a real highlight.

Rhiannon’s dad spoke first, and his speech had that lovely father-of-the-bride mix of pride, emotion, and humour. You could feel how much the day meant to him.

Warren’s speech followed, full of warmth and gratitude. Groom speeches can be tricky because there’s a lot to say, but Warren did a brilliant job of keeping it personal and heartfelt.

Then Warren’s older son stood up to speak, which was such a special part of the day. Having his son involved in the speeches made the wedding feel even more meaningful. It gave the day a strong family thread from start to finish.

The best man rounded things off with plenty of laughs. A good best man speech always gets the room going, and this one did exactly that.

The evening party went all in

Once the evening arrived, the party really kicked off.

The lighting was incredible, and it completely changed the feel of the room. Good lighting makes such a difference to a wedding party. It brings the dance floor to life, adds atmosphere, and makes everything feel bigger and more exciting.

The music was brilliant too. Guests were up, the energy was high, and the dance floor had that proper wedding party feel where people just let go and enjoy themselves.

Then came the shot trolley.

Warren and Rhiannon wheeled it around themselves, which was such a fun idea. It got everyone laughing, chatting, and joining in. It was one of those little details that guests

will definitely remember.

It also suited the evening perfectly. Nothing too formal, nothing over the top, just a couple having the best time with their favourite people.

By that point, the whole day had built into this huge celebration. The emotional ceremony, the heartfelt speeches, the relaxed drinks reception, and then a party that felt full of life.

A Ravenswood wedding full of personality

Warren and Rhiannon’s wedding at The Ravenswood was magical because it felt like them.

The homemade cake, the surprise audio message from Warren’s kids, his son’s reading, the personal vows, the speeches, the lighting, the music, the shot trolley, every part added something real to the day.

It was emotional without being too serious. Fun without losing the meaning. Beautiful without feeling staged.

And that’s what makes a wedding memorable.

Not just the venue, or the outfits, or the schedule, but the moments that could only belong to that couple. Warren and Rhiannon had so many of those, and their day at The Ravenswood was an absolute joy from start to finish.
