Tell us about where and when you first both first met?
We first met at university (University of Kent) in 2013, through a fundraising and volunteering society called Raise and Give. Dan was in his third year and had been selected as treasurer, and I had just started out in my first year and had applied for the role of financial secretary. Luckily, I got the role, which meant us being locked in a room counting the money that was raised for charity throughout university on a weekly basis - plenty of time to chat and get to know each other! Fast forward a year and in October 2014 we became official!
Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?
We had planned a beautiful two week trip to Italy in 2020, but COVID got in the way! So we rescheduled it for 2022, spending a week in the south exploring the Amalfi Coast, Pompei and Naples - and then a week in the north exploring Milan, Lake Garda, Verona and Lake Como. After we arrived in Positano on the first day, we went for a walk into the centre (and I was already complaining about the number of steps everywhere!) so when we went back I had a little nap, Dan set up the balcony in our air bnb and once I got ready for dinner we had a glass of fizz on the balcony looking out onto the incredible views of the Amalfi Coast and there and then Dan popped the question! It was absolutely beautiful and then we got to enjoy our engagement bubble for the rest of the two weeks
How did you find and choose your wedding venues?
Lots and lots of research and visits!! I spent a lot of time on Google, Hitched and Instagram to try and find wedding venues. We roughly knew what we wanted, something that felt classy but not dated (and we ruled out barns pretty quickly because we didn’t want a rustic feel!). So many venues we visited and either the gardens were beautiful but the inside was disappointing, or vice versa. I think I became aware of Northbrook because someone I knew briefly from an internship had got married there and I’d seen a few photos, but when we visited it was just even better that we could have imagined - Dan turned to me and said “I think this is the one!” And it made me cry! Definitely a good sign! The vine room was what ultimately sold it for us but everything was beautiful, and it almost gave a feel of Italy - which is what we wanted to have in the day too!
Thank you to all the incredible suppliers we worked with on the day!

Why did you choose us to film your wedding day?
We spent hours looking through websites of many different videographers, and quickly realised how much we loved how gorgeously cinematic your shots were, how personal the videos feel with the vows/speeches in the background and after speaking to Ellie, we knew you were right for us! Goodness me, how happy and overjoyed we are that we picked you
