"The most joyous and emotive wedding at Gosfield Hall" Kia & James

Tell us about where and when you first both first met?

We actually ‘met’ on tinder.

James was home seeing his family in Portsmouth and I was at a friends house, my girlfriends and I were all at a friends wedding that weekend.

So we were both in the same area and happened to match!

We then met in person for the first time on the summer bank holiday long weekend, I was coming back from seeing my family in Dorset and thought it would be a good opportunity to stop by Southampton and James’s Army base to meet him for the first time, we intended on going for a coffee but just couldn’t stop talking!

We just clicked right away and that was that.

The next weekend and pretty much every weekend after that we spent together until James moved up to London.

Tell us about who proposed to who and where did it happen?

James really wanted to go away and propose abroad, but the covid restrictions kept changing it was impossible to keep up

So we were in London enjoying the Christmas run up doing little traditions like picking up our annual bauble from Liberty

Luckily I didnt really notice when I put a liberty cracker on the tree after we had decorated it together

I made James wait all morning to open our stockings - which looking back was very cruel of me!

James kept asking but I insisted on having a slow breakfast, having coffee and watching the new Christmas Shaun the Sheep movie first. Eventually we did do our stockings on the sofa, James left the last present to be the cracker over by the tree, he wouldn’t bring it over to the sofa. James asked me to pop the cracker standing up, I still didn’t twig until I pulled a ring box out of the cracker and James was down on one knee with the ring from his pocket.

How did you find and choose your wedding venues?

I dragged James round lots of venues I’d found on instagram, I was obsessed with the idea of an orangery but they didn’t compare to how we felt when we wandered round Gosfield one sunny day in June.

I had already convinced James that a spring wedding would be a good idea, so we could get all the flowers I wanted.

And we just thought, if it’s raining, which it mostly does in the uk, I don’t want everyone to be stuck in one generic hotel room, which looks like it could be anywhere

Gosfield fit the bill in so many ways, and the way they looked after us that day made us feel like they would do a good job on the day too.

Why did you choose us to film your wedding day?

1. Because the shots and the editing is absolutely beautiful.

2. Because when we met you/ had that first little zoom call you were so very lovely and so interested in us and our wedding rather than trying to sell us your services.

Best decision! Booking you both 💙
