A Glorious Bury Court Wedding for Laura and Will

Some wedding days just seem to have everything on their side, and Laura and Will’s day at Bury Court was one of them.

They chose Saturday 5th September 2026 for their wedding, and the weather absolutely delivered. Glorious sunshine, warm light, happy guests, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes the whole day feel easy. Bury Court looked beautiful, especially with everyone gathering outside ahead of the ceremony.

It was the perfect setting for a day full of family, laughter, confetti, incredible food, sunset portraits, and one very special musical moment to end the evening.

A relaxed morning at Bury Court

Laura spent the morning getting ready with her girls in the getting ready room at Bury Court. Those final few hours before the ceremony always have their own little rhythm. Hair and make-up, dresses hanging up, people popping in and out, someone checking the time, and that growing feeling that everything is suddenly getting very real.

While Laura was with her bridal party, Will and the boys were also getting ready at Bury Court, starting the day in the most honest and down-to-earth way possible, with a McDonald’s breakfast. It’s exactly the kind of detail that makes a wedding film feel personal later on. Not staged, not forced, just the real story of the day.

As guests began to arrive, they gathered outside in the sunshine. There’s always a lovely buzz at this point in the day. People spotting friends and family they haven’t seen for a while, hugs happening everywhere, and everyone slowly making their way towards the ceremony area.

Back inside, Laura’s mum helped her into her dress. It was one of those quiet, emotional moments that often becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the morning.

A proud dad reveal for Jeremy

Before the ceremony, Laura shared a dad reveal with her father, Jeremy.

And it went perfectly.

There’s something so special about a dad seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Jeremy looked every bit the proud father, and it was a really lovely moment to capture. These are the parts of a wedding day that pass so quickly in real life, but they hold so much feeling.

For couples planning their own day, moments like this are always worth making a little space for. You don’t need to over-plan them. Just a quiet room, a few minutes, and the right people there. That’s more than enough.

A beautiful outdoor ceremony in the sunshine

With the weather being so good, Laura and Will were able to have their ceremony outside, which suited Bury Court perfectly.

The ceremony was relaxed, warm, and full of feeling. Will’s sister, Jessy, gave a reading, adding a personal touch that made the ceremony feel even more connected to their families. The registrar also shared beautiful words, giving the whole ceremony a calm and heartfelt tone.

Outdoor ceremonies always have something extra when the weather plays along. The natural light, the gardens, the sound of guests laughing softly, and that little pause just before the couple are officially married. Laura and Will’s ceremony had all of that.

And then, just like that, they were married.

After the ceremony came one of the best parts of any wedding day, the confetti.

There was so much joy in that moment. Guests gathered around Laura and Will, confetti filled the air, and everyone had that huge just-married energy. It’s always one of the happiest parts of a wedding film because nobody is thinking too much. They’re just smiling, cheering, and enjoying it.

After confetti, everyone moved into the Bury Court gardens for drinks and canapés. This part of the day gave Laura and Will time to catch up with their guests, take it all in, and enjoy a slower pace before the wedding breakfast.

Bury Court is brilliant for this because the gardens give people space to mingle, chat, and relax without feeling rushed. It’s one of those venues where the flow of the day feels really natural.

As a hampshire wedding videographer, this is exactly the kind of setting that works so well on film. There’s movement everywhere, guests laughing in little groups, drinks being poured, canapés being passed around, and the couple right in the middle of it all.

A warm welcome into the wedding breakfast

Laura and Will were welcomed into their wedding breakfast by Will’s grandad, which was such a lovely family touch.

The meal itself was incredible, as it always is at Bury Court. Good food makes such a difference to the feel of a wedding day. It gives everyone time to settle, chat, laugh, and enjoy being part of something special.

After dinner came the speeches.

Laura’s dad, Jeremy, started things off. Father of the bride speeches always carry a lot of emotion, and Jeremy’s set the tone beautifully. Then Will’s best man, also called Will, gave the second and final speech.

Keeping the speeches to two worked really well. There was enough time for laughs, stories, and emotion, but the pace of the day still felt relaxed and easy.

Later in the day, we took Laura and Will away for some sunset photos.

This is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. The main events have happened, the nerves have gone, and the couple finally get a few minutes together. No big crowd, no schedule pressure, just the two of them taking in the fact that they’re married.

The light was beautiful, with the rolling hills in the background. It gave everything a soft, golden feel and added such a romantic finish to their portraits.

These moments also make a huge difference to a Bury Court wedding video. Sunset footage brings a different mood to the film, calmer and more intimate, and it balances perfectly with all the energy from the ceremony and reception.

Cake, first dance, and a surprise performance from Rozalla

After sunset, the evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance.

By this point, everyone was ready to celebrate properly. The cake cutting brought guests together again, and the first dance marked that lovely shift from formal wedding day into party mode.

Then came a brilliant surprise.

Rozalla, a family friend, performed her 1991 hit “Everybody’s Free” for all the guests. What a moment. It’s not every wedding that has a live performance from someone connected to the family, especially with a song that so many people know and love.

It gave the evening such a fun, unforgettable lift. You could feel how much everyone enjoyed it.

A day full of sunshine, family, and real moments

Laura and Will’s Bury Court wedding had everything you’d hope for in a late summer wedding. Beautiful weather, an outdoor ceremony, proud family moments, relaxed drinks in the gardens, heartfelt speeches, golden sunset portraits, and a packed evening of celebration.

What stood out most was how personal it all felt. From Will’s McDonald’s breakfast with the boys to Jeremy’s proud dad reveal, Jessy’s reading, Will’s Grandad welcoming everyone in, and Rozalla singing for the guests, the day was full of details that belonged completely to Laura and Will.

That’s what makes a wedding memorable. Not just how it looks, but how it feels.
